Edna Salter

Edna Salter, 87, of Independence, MO passed away, July 20, 2005 at the Independence Regional Health Center. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the chapel. Edna was born on October 2, 1917 in Williamsville, MO to Bruce and Virginia Tinker. She was a devoted, lifetime member of the Community of Christ Church. Edna loved her poetry, and will always be remembered for her quick wit and humor. One of Edna�s favorite activities was feeding her deer and birds, which came to her back yard faithfully everyday. She will be greatly missed by her family. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac M. Salter. She is survived by one son, Don M. Salter; one daughter, Joyce Salter; one sister, Hilda Myers; and her two favorite dogs, Casey and Tyco.
