Linda Sanders

Linda Sue (Carpe) Sanders, 67, Kansas City, MO passed away unexpectedly Sept. 21, 2018. A Memorial visitation will be held from 11 am – 2 pm, Sat., Oct 6 at the Iowa Beef Steakhouse, 1201 E. Euclid Ave., Des Moines, IA 50316.
Linda was born Nov. 21, 1950 in Des Moines, IA to Lawrence and Rena (Logli) Carpe. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines in the Class of 1969. She later graduated from Broadlawns Medical Center Nursing School in 1972 and began her career as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in the Trauma Center for over twenty years and most recently as a substitute school nurse in the Shawnee Mission School District in Kansas. She served on the Board of the East Des Moines Girls Softball Association for over twenty years. She was a Royals and Chiefs fan but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and dogs.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, stillborn son Joseph Sanders and grandpuppy Diamond. She is survived by daughters Laurie Sanders, Kansas City, MO; Sunny Sanders and husband Christopher Boyle, Independence, MO; son Kevin Sanders, Urbandale, IA; grandchildren Brooklyn Meadow, Hunter and Sky and her beloved dogs Bruiser and Sapphire.
