Elda Sanford

Elda Goldene Sanford, was born October 15, 1925 in Bonner Springs, KS to George L and Goldie L Ross and departed this life in the early hours of August 27, 2012 at the age of 86 in Watauga TX. On July 16, 1949 in Olathe, KS Elda was wed to her beloved Robert L. Sanford who preceded her in death in August of 1992. Elda worked in the personnel department for the City of Independence MO before she and Robert retired to their home in Climax Springs MO at the Lake of the Ozarks in 1980. Elda was a member of the Camden County Democrat Club and Climax Springs Presbyterian Church and acted as Secretary for the church for many years. Elda was preceded in death by her husband Robert, daughter Susan Warren of Independence, MO, father, George L Ross of Bonner Springs, KS mother, Goldie L Long of Independence, MO and her brother, Gerald Ross of Rossville, KS. Elda is survived by her grandson Matthew Hess and his wife, Cheryl, of Fort Worth TX and two great-grandsons, Justin and Robert also of Fort Worth TX. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday August 31, 2012 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
