Beverly J. Sarratt

Beverly Sarratt, 85, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 14th at Rosewood Health Care Center. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel. Mrs. Sarratt was born on September 18, 1919 in Neponset, Ill. Beverly worked for many years as the sales manager at the Macy�s Department Store in Augusta, Georgia. She lived in various states, but returned to Independence in 1986 after the death of her spouse, Gerald. She contributed to many charitable foundations such as the local restoration soup kitchen and by putting many children through private school. Beverly was a life long member of the RLDS church, currently attending the Mount Zion Restoration Branch She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Cunningham. Beverly is survived by her 3 children, William G. Sarratt, Bonnie L. Lloyd and Barbara Kimbrell; 3 brothers, Gerry, Lloyd and Vance Cunningham; 2 sisters, Barbara Canady and Marilyn Welsh; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
