Eteuati Faapusi Saupo

Eteuati Saupo, 73, of Independence, MO passed away December 8, 2017. Visitation will be 10 am Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 5609 Norfleet Rd, KCMO. Services will follow at 11 am. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery. Eteuati was born on November 15, 1944 in the Village of Amanave, Island of Tutuila, American Samoa to Robert Stinson and Faapusi Edwards. He was a proud Army Veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers in Viet Nam. He enjoyed watching sports, but loved to golf! Survivors include; loving wife Failelei Saupo; daughters Fuatino Sefaamau and Misty Thornton and her husband Carl Sr.; grandchildren Nathaniel Moananu, Maranda Moananu, Carl Thornton, Jr., Matea Thornton, Zab Thornton, Laila Thornton, Lennix Thornton, and Blaise Thornton; sister Otila Timoteo, a large extended family and many friends, Eteuati is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Mautaga Lelei, and Lipine Lelei.
