Betty Jane Sayers

Betty Jane Sayers, 87, Formerly of Independence, MO died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Blue Springs Manor. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the St. Mary�s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday evening at the chapel. Betty was born June 30, 1918 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Orville and Leona (Bohac) Charlton. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of St. Mary�s Catholic Church, the Altar Society there and for St. Ann�s Catholic Church. She was married to George D. Sayers on August 16, 1940, he died on February 27, 2001. Survivors include; 3 daughters, Lyn White and her husband Robert of Chula Vista, CA, Pat Hartman and her husband Jim of Independence and Diana Zimmerman and her husband Dale of Lee�s Summit, MO; a sister, Pat Matthews and her husband Jim of Springfield, MO; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
