Hilma Jeanne Scanlan

Hilma Jeanne Scanlan, 80, of Leawood, KS, formerly of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, March 27th at Carondelet Manor. Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 31st at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at 1:00pm. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Jeanne was born June 14, 1924 in Lexington, MO to Charles and Ada (Yates) Bergstrom. She was blessed with artistic talent spending time making various arts and crafts to share with her family and friends. Jeanne loved to travel to her kid�s homes to enjoy their company. She is survived by her daughter Charlene Oakman, son William Francis Scanlan, sons and daughters-in-law John and Lisa Scanlan, Tom and Tomoe Scanlan; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; niece Joan and a host of other relatives and friends. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Charles Scanlan in Oct. of 1972 and son Charles "Bones� Scanlan in Sept. of 2004.
