Steven Kenneth “Steve” Schaal, of Blue Springs, MO, a bubbly guy who was fun to be around, and was often the life of the party, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. He was 55 years old. Steve was born on February 20, 1967, in Independence, Missouri to Rodney and Velda (Berg) Schaal. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in the class of 1985, before attending Graceland University, where he proudly earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. Steve worked in retail management for over 30 dedicated years. He was a wonderful son, great bother, loving dad, awesome uncle, and good friend, who was always eager to help others. Steve was the kind of person a lot of people wanted to have in their life. He loved the outdoors and going hunting. He was a huge sports fan, be it the Kansas City Chiefs, MU Tigers, or the Kansas City Royals, Steve enjoyed it all. He will always be remembered for being outgoing, quick to laugh and being a vivid storyteller, and he will be deeply missed by so many.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Jadyn Schaal; stepchildren, Zane Wilmott, and Payton Wilmott; brothers, Dave (Michelle) Schaal, and Bob (Angie) Schaal; mother, Velda Schaal; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Schaal.
A Celebration of Life to honor Steve will be held on Monday, June 20, at 2:30 p.m., at the Colonial Hills Community of Christ Church, 3539 MO 7, Blue Springs, MO 64014.
