George C. Scheerer

George C. Scheerer, 95 of Lee�s Summit, MO passed away, Thu, Jul 27, 2006 at the Lee�s Summit Hospital. Private services will be held with burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Hillcrest Ministries of Eastern Jackson County, 403 N. Spring St., Indep. MO 64050. Mr. Scheerer was born on Mar 18, 1911 to John and Gertrude (Seidel) Scheerer in Cleveland, Ohio and had lived there until moving to Lee� Summit, MO one year ago. He had been a Cost Accountant for Clevite in Cleveland, OH retiring in 1975. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed photography, gardening and reading the newspaper. He was of the Christian faith and had been a 32nd degree Mason for over 50 years. George was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John and a grandson, Gregory. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilma D. Scheerer of Lee�s Summit, MO. A son, William J. Scheerer and wife, Nancy of Lee�s Summit; a daughter, Ellen Gauger and husband Michael of Laredo, TX. Three grandchildren, Karen Ninemire of Lee�s Summit, MO, Kimberly Gauger of San Antonio, TX and Brian Gauger of San Antonio, TX, two nieces, Carol Downs and Janet Perry, both of North Carolina.
