Roselee Scherer

May 9, 1940 — February 3, 2007

Roselee Cox Scherer of Independence, MO passed away peacefully February 3, 2007. Ms. Scherer was born to Milton T. and Dorothy Cox in Independence on May 9, 1940. She earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching and a Master�s in Art Education from Central Missouri State College. Roselee spent her happiest professional years touching the hearts and minds of students through art education at William Chrisman and Truman High Schools. She went on to work in advertising before retiring in 1992. She spent many years dedicated to Breast Cancer Research. Her spirit will live on through her only son, Daniel Scherer of Independence, her brother Milton Theodore Cox Jr. of Blue Springs, and her sister Kathy Goodale of Rayville, Missouri. Roselee is also remembered and loved by nieces, nephews, extended family, lifelong teaching friends, and her breast cancer support group. A Memorial service will be held Noon., Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Community of Christ Parkview Congregation in Blue Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Roselee Cox Scherer Scholarship Fund at the time of service.
