Rose Marie Schilpp, born October 31, 1927 in Spring Garden, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Schilpp, Sr., daughter, Jeannie Marie Villalobos and grandson Paul Wesley Read. Her surviving children are Janice R. Winfrey (JT) of Raymore, Mo., Jimmy Schilpp (Mary) of Jefferson City, Mo., son-in-law Daniel Villalobos, of Blue Springs, Mo., and Judy Sue Dale (Mike) of Blue Springs, Mo.
Rose was one of nine children born to Otis & Dean Morris and raised in Eugene Missouri. Her siblings were Gail, Mark, Audley, Dorothy, George, Jimmy, Danny & Johnny. Audley Morris (Polly) of Eldon, Mo is the only sibling to survive her.
Rose worked many years as a preschool & music teacher at Jean's Day Nursery schools in Independence, Missouri. She was also very active along with her late husband, James W. Schilpp Sr. in volunteer work for the Disabled American Veterans (DAVA). She served as National Commander of the DAV auxiliary in 1989. She served as a Veterans hospital volunteer for many years. Her love of life, sense of humor and positive attitude will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild, all of whom she loved and was very proud of.
