Marion Eldon Schlobohm, 78, Independence, MO passed away Jan. 1, 2019 at The Groves. Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, Jan. 7 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm before the service at the chapel. Kindly omit flowers. Marion was born July 5, 1940 in LaMonte, MO and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and served as Construction Manager for the Unity School of Christianity until his retirement. He was an auctioneer and called at numerous events. Two events most dear to his heart were his grandson, Caleb’s school, St. Luke’s in Virginia and the Kansas City Lutheran High School which he did for many years. He will be remembered for his loving heart and the greatest smile ever!
Marion was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Irene Schlobohm; brothers Clarence, Norman, Cleo and Kenneth Schlobohm; sisters Catherine Cooper, Mona Irven, Audrey Vickery, Dorothy Rosenquist and Daryle Schlobohm. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years Sandra Schlobohm; brother Gerald Schlobohm; sister Carol Chargualof; sons Wes Schlobohm and wife Debra; Jeffrey Beverstock and wife Jeri; Shawn Beverstock; Tim McKinzie; daughter Gayla Metchnikoff and husband Mike; grandchildren Caleb & Colby Beverstock; Dillon Metchnikoff; Samantha & Connor Stultz. He had a special relationship with his father-in-law and mother-in-law – Wilma and Jr. Krause of Concordia, MO. He also leaves behind many family members and friends.
