Mary Genevieve Schroepfer (Schroepfer)

Mary Geneieve Schroepfer, 92 of Kansas City, MO passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m., Friday at the St. Mark’s Catholic Church 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:30 a.m., Friday at the church and there will be a rosary recited at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made in her name to Kansas City Hospice House or to St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Mary was born November 26, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to William Cyrus and Genevieve (Noll) Schroepfer. She graduated from St. Aloysius High School and later from Avila College. She was a teacher and had taught at several Catholic schools in Chicago and was a longtime teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Independence, MO. She enjoyed cooking, playing music and tennis. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Survivors include: 2 sisters, Loretta Schroepfer of Blue Springs, MO and Judy Schroepfer of Kansas City, MO and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jack Schroepfer and Bill Schroepfer, Jr. and 2 sisters, Rosie Schroepfer and Dorothy Morales.
