Donald Patrick Schulte, 88 of Raytown, MO passed away Wednesday. February 11, 2015 at Village Care Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Donations may be made in his name to the Village Care Hospice. Patrick was born June 16, 1926 in Omaha, NE to Ellwin and Hildegard (Lammers) Schulte. He proudly served in the S Navy in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a machinist for Bendix Corporation for 33 years. He enjoyed writing, dancing and storytelling. He was a member of St Regis Catholic Church, the Toastmasters and the International Association of Machinist Union. He is survived by: 3 daughters, Kathryn A. Wyant of Raytown, MO, Heather M. Schulte of Kansas City, MO and Diane P. Weaver of Lenexa, KS; a son, Richard M. Schulte and wife Susie of Lee’s Summit, MO; his companion, Cecilia Reardon of Kansas City, MO; 4 grandchildren, Robert, Aaron, Kristy and Jonah and 1 great grandson, Kristopher.
