Valentin Schultz, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. He was 87.
Valentin was born on June 8, 1934, in Malinowka, Ukraine to Andrej and Kesenia (Schur) Schultz. At 16, he came to the United States and when he was able, enlisted in the United States Army. Valentin was a police officer with the Kansas City Police Department for more than 30 years.
Valentin is preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Mary (Redford) Schultz; as well as, his parents, three brothers, Adam, Piotr and Stefan, and one sister, Halina.
He is survived by his daughter, Christie (Mike) Yarborough of Riegelwood, North Carolina; two sisters, Helena Schultz of Brush, Colorado and Lidia Swope of Pueblo, Colorado; as well as, numerous friends and relatives, including in Ukraine and Australia.
