Linda Jeanette Schwatken, 73 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Lee’s Summit. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to the City Union Mission. Linda was born October 16, 1944 in Kansas City, MO to Andrew Garold and Jeanette (Grant) Clark. She graduated from high school at Orange, CA class of 1962. She had worked for SW Bell as a computer clerk for 28 years before she retired. She was a professional Christmas decorator and had done work at Vaille Mansion and other locations. She was also a master gardener and an accomplished floral designer. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and hosted a foreign exchange student from Brazil. Later in life she was a dedicated caregiver to some of her elderly family and friends. She was a member of the New Life Assembly in Oak Grove and was currently attending Abundant Life Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. Survivors include; her loving husband of nearly 35 years, Terry of the home; a sister, Barbara Gressel of Springfield, MO and several nieces and nephews.
