L. Faye Schweers

Faye Schweers, 97, of Independence, MO, passed away on Tuesday, December 20th at Rosewood Health Center. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 23rd at Mound Grove Cemetery. Faye was born November 17, 1908 in Mallory Township, IA to James and Florence (Riegel) Porter. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and was a lover of cats. Mrs. Schweers was known for her dry wit. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time. Faye is survived by her nephews Robert Turner and wife Ruth, Ronald Turner and wife Carol; a host of great-nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Schweers was preceded in death by her husband Richard Schweers in 1980.
