Bernadine Scott

Bernadine Agnes Scott, 91, of Buckner, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 19th in the home. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, January 23rd at Speaks Buckner Chapel; 300 Adams, Buckner MO 64016. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Thursday, January 24th at Church of the Santa Fe; 231 S Sibley, Buckner MO. Burial will be in Buckner Hill Cemetery.
Bernadine was born October 22, 1921 in Sharon Springs, KS, to George and Hattie (Lund) Atherton. She married Roy Scott of Wallace, Kansas on August 17th 1948. Bernadine was a member and supporter of the Church of the Santa Fe for 40 years. She was devoted to her family, her friends, her faith, and her furry friends, too.
Bernadine is survived by daughters, Mary Moore (Billie) of Elm Springs, AR; Bernadine Sanders of Richardson, TX; Dorothy Brison (Kenneth) of Independence, MO; Rebecca Coleman (Lynn) of La Jara, MO; and Anita Ray of Independence, MO; son, Gregory Wasinger (Kathy) of Conway, AR; twenty five grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ellsworth Scott, five sons, seven siblings, and her parents. In lieu of flowers the family encourages contributions to Kansas City Hospice; 9221 Ward Parkway Suite 100, Kansas City MO 64114 or to the Church of the Santa Fe.
