Betty Jean Scott

Betty J. Scott, 79, Independence, Mo. died Aug. 13, 2004 at Independence Regional Health Center. Graveside services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, Aug. 17 at Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family kindly requests no flowers but prefers a memorial contribution to the animal shelter of your choice. Betty was born in Independence, Mo. on May 10, 1925, and lived in Independence most of her life. She was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War era and a member of St. Mary�s Catholic Church. Betty worked at the Lake City Munitions Plant for many years before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Scott in Oct. of 1968. She is survived by brothers Gerald Doutt, Indep., MO; Thomas Doutt, Parker, CO; and cousin Linda Keith, Indep., MO.
