Lee Earl Scott, of Independence, MO, passed away on March 12, 2021. He was 71 years old. Lee was born on April 16, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Wilbur and Barbara Scott and was the second of three children. He graduated from East High School in the class of 1967. Lee was a great father, husband and grandfather who loved his grandchildren dearly. For over 25 years, he was a devoted member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. He was a lifetime member of the Freedom of the Road riders and Lee also took pride in being a motorcycle activist. Lee is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Scott; son, Christopher Scott; daughter, Mary (Mike) Botts; grandchildren, Sydney, Amanda, Abigail and Austin, and great-grandchildren, Matthew, and Nikolas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur, and Barbara Scott.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, March 20, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th. St. in Independence, MO. Due to COVID19 restrictions, a private service to honor Lee, will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society, in honor of Lee.
