Scott Walter Yager

Scott Walter Yager, 46 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at his residence.  Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at the Community of Christ Stone Church.  The family will greet friends from 5:30 p.m., until service begins on Friday at the church.  Scott was born March 8, 1977 in Winter Park, FL to Ronald Yager, Sr. and Delavena (Duty) Yager and has been a longtime area resident.  

Scott finished his education at Truman High School in Independence MO. He worked in commercial security for several years, then moving into a management role for Chuck E. Cheese Restaurants for the past 13 years. 

He enjoyed spending time with close friends, throwing darts, honing his skills enough to play at a National level, in leagues and tournaments. He was a member of the Community of Christ Stone Church congregation.

He is survived by; his wife Kerri (Holloway) of the home; 3 step children, Jonathan Moyer, Maci Moyer and Olivia Moyer all of the home; his mother Delavena Yager of Oak Grove, MO; 3 siblings, Ronald Yager, Jr. of Independence, MO, Delanne (Jon) Carlson and Michele (David) Yager-Conner all of Oak Grove, MO; his mother and father-in-law, Terry and Ruth Holloway of Independence, MO; a sister-in-law, Kimberly (Eric) Haws of Buckner and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Yager, Sr. in 2022.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.speakschapel.com (Arrangements: Speaks Suburban Chapel (816) 373-3600)
