John Scrogham, 30 of Independence, MO, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 9:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Donations may be made to People First of Kansas City. John was born April 24, 1980 in Independence, MO to Norman E. and Kathleen “Kathy” (Cullen) Scrogham. He was a fun loving person who was always ready to help anyone, a whiz with computers and video games and was an entrepreneur at heart. He was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church and the People First of Kansas City, an organization that helps improve the lives of handicapped people. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. John is survived by; his mother, Kathy Scrogham of the home; a sister, Kelly Etter and her husband Shannon of Lee’s Summit, MO; his beloved pets Charisma and Gracie and many aunts uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman E. Scrogham, maternal grandmother, Frances Cullen, paternal grandmother, Benny Scrogham.
