Jim L.  Searcy

Jim L. Searcy, 67, Eagle Rock, MO, formerly of Liberty, MO, passed away Sept. 23, 2017. Memorial services will be at 6 pm, Thursday, Sept. 28 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will begin at 5 pm before the service at the chapel. Cremation will take place at a later date.
Jim was born Sept, 5, 1950 and graduated from William Chrisman High School in the Class of 1968. He worked at the Hallmark Distribution Center in Liberty for nearly forty years before retiring in 2007. Shortly after his retirement, he and his wife, Karen, moved to Eagle Rock MO where Jim pursued his love of fishing. They also loved to travel and spent many winters in Florida. His life was his family.
Jim was preceded in death by daughter Diana Spielvogel. He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years Karen Searcy, of the home; daughter Barbara Searcy and husband Cosi, Castle Rock CO; Tina Collene and husband Dustin; son Travis Stone and wife Priscilla; brother Ray Searcy and wife Shirley, all of Gladstone, MO: sister Linda Larson and husband Tom, Independence, MO; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
