Ena was also a volunteer at the Independence Regional Hospital for over 20 years, and this gave her great satisfaction. Although she would never admit it, Ena was an excellent artist and left many family and friends with many lovely memories of her talents. Ena and Gordon were fortunate to be able to travel extensively later in life and visited Europe several times. Ena always said that her favorite thing to see were the lovely rolling green hills of Ireland, and she made it a point while there to be sure and kiss the Blarney Stone.
