Donna Faye Sedge, a beautiful soul, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. She was 91. Donna was born on October 6, 1929 to Paul and Flossie Miller in Liberal, Kansas.
After graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1947 Donna married her high school sweetheart Wayne and spent 68 blissful years together raising a family. Prior to having children Donna put her talents to use. She worked at a photography studio, carefully tinting portraits that people cherished for years to come. She was an associate at a jewelry store for some time and during the holidays she would enjoy wrapping gifts for consumers. Her proudest accomplishment was when she became a member of the Independence Little Symphony. Donna played the Clarinet, Alto Sax, Oboe and Bassoon beautifully for many years. As time went by she began raising her babies and embracing her life as a homemaker. Donna will always be remembered for her delicious fruitcakes, her unique rock gardens, her love for everyone she met, her kindness and her smile. She will be missed dearly.
Donna is survived by her son, Duane Sedge; daughters, Frances Marencik (Gary), Linda Fann (Ken) and Susan Brand; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Wayne.
A visitation is scheduled on Saturday, December 19th from 1-2:00pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri. Due to COVID restrictions Donna’s service will be private. Thank you for your understanding.
