Thomas J. Seigler

Thomas J. Seigler, Sr. of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Visitation will be from 6 pm Sunday, July 17th at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 7:30 pm. Family and friends will gather at 9:30 am., Monday, July 18th at Nativity Church followed by procession to Mt. Olivet Cemetery for interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Nativity of Mary Memorial Stained Glass Fund. Tom was born June 3, 1926 in Kansas City, KS to Walter and Mary Seigler. He was a Naval veteran of WW II, surviving action in the Pacific. Tom was a member of Nativity of Mary Church and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He worked as a glazier and painter, in the Kansas City area for many years, retiring as supervisor of the painting department at UMKC. Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Alta Seigler, and is survived by his sons, Chris Seigler and wife Linda, Tom Seigler, Jr. and wife Claudia, Dave Seigler and wife Debbie, Jeff Seigler and wife Kelly, all of the Kansas City area; numerous grandchildren and great grand children; a brother, Walt Seigler, Sr. and wife Eleanore of Raytown, MO.
