Vera Grace Sellars (Fye)

Vera Grace Sellars, 91 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Rosewood Health Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Trinity Nazarene Church19800 E. Truman Rd., Independence, MO 64056. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Thursday at the church. Donations may be made in her name to the Trinity Nazarene Church. Vera was born April 10, 1926 in El Dorado, KS to Malcom Merrill and Ida E. (Hudson) Fye and had lived in Independence, MO since 1943. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who loved working in her flower beds, planning and being in charge of the Sellars Family reunions with her Kids and Grandkids every year, and she loved Church. She was a member of the Trinity Nazarene Church. Survivors include; 6 children, David Sellars and wife Linda of Villages, FL, Janice Nagy of Independence, MO, John Sellars and wife Bette of Lake Tapawingo, MO, Steve Sellars and wife Sandy of Milwaukee, WI and Glenn Sellars and wife Lynnetta and Joyce Kuder and husband Jim all of Independence, MO; 2 sisters, Betty Jo Kirk of Windsor, MO and Martha Casey of Sugar Creek, MO; 25 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David W. Sellars in 2006, a son, Jim Sellars in 1996 and 3 Sisters and 1 brother.
