Ruth Sevart, 65, Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO 64055. A service will follow at 6pm.
Ruth was born on February 13, 1952 in Pineville, MO to Russell and Mary (Jackson) Motley. She loved shopping, weekly dinners with high school friends, dancing, and going to the casino. Most of all she loved seeing her grandkids and great-grandkids and showing off pictures of them to her friends.
She will be remembered by her children Tammy Spencer and husband Robb of Cypress, TX, Jason Robertson and wife Stefanie of New Baltimore, MI; mother Mary Motley of Independence, MO; sisters Gloria Hackbart and husband Mark of Kansas City, MO, Kay Roark of Kansas City, MO, and Connie Aiello and husband Chris of Kansas City North; brother Roger Motley of Kansas City; grandchildren Ashley York (Kyle), Hannah Spencer, Evan Robertson, Gavin Robertson, Lucas Robertson, Kenzie Phenix, Annika Robertson, and Griffin Robertson; great-grandchildren Kylin York and Kinleigh York; sister/cousin Karen Smith; plus many nieces, nephews, extended family members and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother Russell Motley, her father, and husband Tom Sevart.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hope House.
