Anita Shafer

Anita Shafer, 90, passed away Monday, July, 23, 2012. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July, 27, 2012 at Saint Louis Catholic Church; 5930 Swope Parkway, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July, 26, at Carson Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Anita was a homemaker. She was a creative cook, avid quilter, and took care of everyone she met. Many will remember her baked goods, and their special blanket they received from Miss Anita. She served everyone she loved, as well as the church, faithfully and thoroughly. Her heart goes out to the children served by the Right to Life organization. Anita is survived by her five beloved children: Glenda Cinotto (Charlie) of Kansas City, MO; Karen Humes, Independence MO; Edward Shafer, Kansas City, MO; Nancee Reynolds (Royce), Baker, FL; Doug Shafer (Shari), Lenexa, KS; as well as, sister Carol McNally, Grandview, MO; brother Kenneth Waitzmann, Kansas City, MO; brother Franklin Waitzmann (Barb), Independence, MO; sister-in-law Judy Waitzmann, Olathe, KS; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
