Danny Shanks

Danny Shanks 70, of Independence, MO passed away January 15, 2018. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm and funeral services will follow at 2 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Christ the Rock Church, 13901 S Noland Ct., Independence, MO. Danny was born on August 25, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Elsie (Sandridge) Shanks. He loved music. Danny played guitar, harmonica, bass and spent several years touring the country with several bands operating the sound system. While home he liked to fish, collect coins, and being with friends and family. Danny loved cats, caring for his and others in the neighborhood. Survivors include; son Eric Shanks and his wife Melody; sister Elaine Wyatt and her husband Jim; sister Kathy Shanks; grandson Austin Shanks; several nieces and nephews; a large extended family and many friends.
