Sharon June Daugherty

Sharon June Daugherty, a compassionate known for her unwavering dedication helping others, passed away on March 29, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. She was born on June 3, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Sharon's life was a testament to kindness and selflessness. Throughout her career at Sprint as a relay agent for the hearing impaired, she touched countless lives with her patience and empathy. Her work was not just a job but a calling to assist those in need.

Beyond her professional life, Sharon's true joy came from volunteering and extending a helping hand wherever she could. Whether it was driving around in her big red truck or engaging in her hobbies of solving jigsaw puzzles, reading books, or feeding the birds and deer, Sharon's spirit of generosity shone through in everything she did.

She will be dearly missed by her surviving family and friends, including her son Randy and Cathryn Francis, grandsons Jeremy Francis and Truman Francis, great grandsons CJ and Chase Francis. She is now reunited with her husband James Daugherty, parents Albert and Viola Loehning and her son Rick Francis who have passed before her.

A visitation to honor Sharon's life will be held on April 4th, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Independence. The funeral service will take place the following day at the same location at 11:00 AM. A final interment ceremony will be held at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence at 12:30 PM.

In the hearts of those who knew her, Sharon will forever remain as an embodiment of love and compassion. Her sweet disposition, kind heart, and willingness to assist anyone in need will be cherished memories that continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
