Sharon Kay Demesko, a beloved teacher's aide who dedicated many years to shaping young minds, passed away on August 15, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on June 7, 1941, in Clarion, Iowa, to Thomas and Bernice (Duitscher) Mrazek. Sharon's passing leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

After completing her education at Goldfield Community High School, Sharon embarked on a fulfilling career as a teacher's aide. Many teachers were grateful for her assistance until her retirement in 1998 and she left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she worked with.

Outside of her professional life, Sharon found joy in various hobbies and interests. She had a keen mind and loved to challenge herself with puzzles and card games. The beauty of nature captivated her, and she found solace in bird watching and admiring the local flowers and flora. An ardent sports fan, Sharon enthusiastically followed the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, celebrating their victories and sharing in the occasional heartbreak.

In addition to her hobbies, Sharon was an exceptional cook. Her culinary prowess was renowned among family and friends who were fortunate enough to experience her signature dishes, such as pierogies and haluski. The love she poured into her cooking was evident in every bite.

Sharon's loving and nurturing nature as a mother and grandmother were defining character traits of who she was. She imparted her wisdom, generosity, and unwavering love to all of those she held dear. Raymond Demesko was her devoted husband, providing constant support throughout their shared journey in life. Together they raised their two children: Christina (Jack) Gallup and Tom (Shelly) Demesko. Sharon radiated joy as a grandmother to Kalyn Gallup, Colton Demesko, Addison Demesko, and Carson Demesko. As a proud grandmother, she attended as many games and concerts for them as she could, eagerly waiting to give them hugs after each performance. She was always ready to offer words of encouragement or praise to them and helped them find their talents and new ways to improve them or hone their skills. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and they will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.

Sharon was preceded in passing by her parents, Thomas and Bernice Mrazek, as well as her two brothers, Donald and Richard Mrazek.
