Michael William “Mike” Sharp
Michael William Sharp, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, he was 78 years of age.
Michael was born on December 17, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Ralph and Blanche (Gochenouer) Sharp, one of three children. He attended Des Moines Technical High School and took some college courses at Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, MO. He worked many jobs throughout his life before retiring from KC Metro after 21 years as a city bus driver. Michael enjoyed driving, watching television, watching YouTube to learn about his latest interest, and playing Solitaire. Often referred to as the “Grandpa Taxi”, Michael was always there to help get his grandchildren anywhere they needed to be. An amazing husband, father and grandfather, Michael will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Sharp; children, Renae (Eric) Watt, Ryan Sharp; grandchildren, Ella Watt, Summer Sharp, Bailey Sharp. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Blanche Sharp; siblings, Randy Sharp, and Marcia Sharp.
Cremation is planned with a private family celebration of life.
