Sharon Ann Sharp, 76, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
Sharon was born March 22, 1936 in Linneus, MO, the daughter of Edward and Geraldine (Reed) Henry. She was employed with John Knox Village as a transportation supervisor before retiring, and was a member of the Country Meadows Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting bird houses, and in her younger days she spent time on the family houseboat and flying with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Sharp in 2006; one sister; and her parents. Survivors include her loving husband Wilbur of 60 years; and her daughter, Kimberly Ann Bott; niece Sherry Platter; great neice Jennifer Platter-Reed; her loving companion dog, Abby; and three granddogs Maggie, Jessie, and Bella.
