Kristian "Kris" Michael Shaw

Kristian “Kris” Shaw, 33, of Independence, MO passed away October 14, 2020. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. service on Wednesday, October 21, at Maywood Baptist Church. The graveside service will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Kristian Michael Shaw was born May 4th, 1987. He is preceded in death by one son Vincent Kalei Aukai Shaw. Kris is survived by his mother Darla Soifua, father John Shaw, stepfather Emmett Soifua, two sisters; Misty Creed and Kaitlyn Shaw, two brothers; Kael Shaw and Dylan Shaw, stepbrothers; Torey Soifua Spencer Soifua, and Dylan Soifua. Step-sister Mya Lynn Soifua. Kris had two children Ashlynn Shaw and Jonathan Patton. Kris has three nieces Joelle, Sudaiya, and Prentice and two nephews Landis and Zaire. Kris has one Aunt Debbie. Kris left behind the love of his life September and her children December, October, and Sterling. Two grandchildren Weston and Tucker.

Kris had many friends that loved him dearly. Kris was a general contractor and worked hard. Kris loved the lord and was involved in several ministries in and around Kansas City. Kris was known to stop on any street corner to pray for a stranger and give all his money to someone that needed more than he did. Kris was a one-of-a-kind man with an incredibly unique style and will be greatly missed.
