Raymond C. Shellhorn

Raymond Carl Shellhorn, 75, of Independence, passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016. Raymond was born January 31, 1941 in Montevallo, MO to Jesse & Viola Shellhorn. Brother Robert Shellhorn, Sisters Rosalee Bogart & Rhonda Friar. He married Shirley Mae Rice April 2, 1960 and had 2 children, Stacy & Kevin (wife, Julie), 2 grandchildren Jessica & Amanda, & great granddaughter Aiyana. Raymond retired from Lake City Ammunition after 34 years. He will be greatly missed and will forever live on in our hearts. In lieu of flowers contributions can be given to Country Meadows Baptist Church and Life Action Ministries-Red Team. The visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St, Independence, MO 64055 6pm-8pm. The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Country Meadows Baptist Church, 4901 S. Lee’s Summit Rd, Kansas City, MO. A dinner to follow will be at the church.
