Dan Jacob Shelton

It is with great sorrow that we wish to announce the passing of our devoted father, brother, uncle and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Danny Jacob Shelton, 55, of Independence, MO passed away on December 11, 2005 at the Independence Regional Health Center. He had a kind heart and a caring soul with unrivaled generosity. He made the world a better place. His son, Daniel Shelton, preceded him in death. Dan is survived by one daughter, Trisha Whigham; one grandson, William Whigham; two brothers, Tim and Pat Shelton; and two sisters, Carol Meads and Irene Shelton. A memorial visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Stone Church Community of Christ, Independence, MO.
