Jill Annette Shepherd (Perkins)

Jill Annette (Perkins) Shepherd, 48, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Pebble Creek Assembly of God 13800 E. 51st St, Kansas City, MO, 64133. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the church. Jill was born at North Kansas City Hospital on October 6, 1967 to Jim and Rosetta Perkins. She was a graduate of Lawson High School in Lawson, MO. She also graduated with a double major from Evangel University located in Springfield, MO in business management and marketing. Jill was an active member of Pebble Creek Assembly of God Church and taught Wednesday night Rainbows at the church, participated in the youth conventions, church camps and mission trips. She married Gerald Shepherd on November 21, 1992. Jill and Jerry co-owned Jerry’s Auto Repair in Grandview, MO. They have four children in the home: Jared Shepherd, Charles Shepherd or “Chuck” as his mother would call him, and Jackie and Jeffrey Shepherd. There were two stepchildren that lived outside the home: Jason Shepherd and wife Sara of Des Moines, IA, and Jenny Harris and husband Kevin of Belton, MO. Jill leaves behind her father and stepmother Jim and Rosa Perkins of Warsaw, MO and her sister Sharon Perkins Griswold and her family, David and Anthony Perkins and David Griswold of Belton, MO. Jill was preceded in death by her mother Rosetta Perkins and her grandparents, Dorsey and Hazel Mynatt of Lawson, MO and Audrey and Hite Perkins of Gladstone, MO, and other family members. In lieu of flowers the family will be setting up a college scholarship for the four children.
