Rosalie Sherpy, 82, of Oak Grove, MO passed away November 17, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO. A visitation will take place from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. followed by a 6:00 p.m. service on Saturday, November 23, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Cremation will follow the services. Rosalie was born May 16, 1931 in Leon, IA to Artie and Anna Phipps. After 40 years, she retired from Bitterman and Button Vending. Rosalie and her husband, David’s strong passion was in raising chickens, and was a long time member of the American Bantam Association and the American Poultry Association. Rosalie had never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David B. Sherpy; and two stepdaughters, Mary Louise Meyers and Debra Becker. She is survived by her son, David Christian and wife Karen; stepson, Roy Sherpy; her three loving pets, Springer, Jerry and Jade; as well as many other family members and a multitude of friends.
