Mary Sherrieb, 78, Garden City, KS passed away Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055.
Mary was born July 29, 1929 in Wood River, NE. She worked as a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening, bird watching, completing her word-find books, and watching game shows, Nascar and Chiefs football. Her favorite meal was chocolate; anything chocolate.
Mary is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gary Sherrieb, her daughter, Rhonda Thieme and husband Steve, her brother, Richard Galusha, a nephew, who is like a son, Larry Steuben, and her dearest neighbors: The Burls, The Mannings, The Cornwells and The Taylors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Edith Austin, two sisters, Maxine Leece and Wanda Steuben, and two brothers, Bobby Galusha and Rex Galusha.
