Charlie Sherrill, 57, residing in Blue Springs, MO passed away surrounded by his friends and family on November 29, 2022. Charlie was born on June 9th, 1965, to Catherine and Charles Craig Sherrill. He grew up in Independence and graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1984. He was an avid Chiefs, Royals and MU sports fan. Charlie made it a point to live life to the fullest. While working for manufacturing companies as an Architect/Project Manager he traveled to 42 out of the 50 states and Puerto Rico. Charlie loved and would do anything for his friends and family. He had 2 children Darryck and Makayla, and quickly gained the title of “Worlds Best Dad”. Charlie adored and cherished being with his kids and grandchildren. His love of reading was a passion that he passed down to his grandkids along with a love for animals. Charlie had a creative side that included skills in drawing, painting, gardening, cooking and playing the trombone and keyboard. Charlie never met a stranger as he made friends easily wherever he would go.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Craig and stepmother, Marlene Sherrill, and his brother-in-law, Rick Geiser.
He is survived by his mother, Cathy, his children, Darryck Sherrill (Heather)grandchild Karter, Makayla Mackison (Brycen)grandchildren Claire, Palmer and Charlie, his siblings Cindy Riddle-Geiser (Doug), Joey Sherrill (Rick), John Shaw (Silya), Carrie Arthur (Jerrod), Trisha Weaver, his former spouse, Tammy Alexander and lots of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO, 64055, 816-373-3600. A memorial mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at St. Robert Catholic Church, 4313 MO-7, Blue Springs, MO, 64014. Memorials may be directed in Charlie’s honor to City Union Mission, 1100 E. 11th St., Kansas City, MO, 64106, or to St. Robert Catholic Church.
