James E. Short

James E. Short, 53, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, April 22, 2004. A memorial visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday, April 26th at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Jim was born February 6, 1951 in Independence, MO. He was a truck driver with Allied Systems, and a member of Teamsters Local #41. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Short and is survived by his son, Matthew James Short of Blue Springs, MO; mother, Mary Lou Devoy; grandchildren, Antony Matthew James Short, and Melissa Elaine Short; brothers and sisters, Linda Newton, Debbie Newton, John Short, Ernie Short, George Short, Carl Short, Mike Short, Chuck Griffey, Kimberly Griffey, Benny Alcanter; several nieces and nephews.
