Cecilia Shoup

Cecilia M. Shoup, 69, of Independence, MO passed away on November 20, 2007 at the Centerpoint Medical Center. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. A visitation will follow the service from 2:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the chapel. Mrs. Shoup was born in Topeka, KS on May 15, 1938 to Frank Sr. and Henrietta (Hernandez) Munoz. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles Shoup; four children, Richard Shoup of Independence, MO, Teresa and husband Samuel Stirlen of Alexandria, VA, Edward and wife Sonhoulai Shoup of Kansas City, MO, Alicia and husband Roger Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX; three grandchildren, Jade Shoup, Cody Rodriguez and Caden Rodriguez; seven siblings, Frank Munoz Jr. of Independence, MO, Phillip Munoz of Topeka, KS, Susie Torres of Topeka, KS, Rita Wright of Grandview, MO; John Munoz of Topeka, KS and Michelle Allen of Topeka, KS. Cecilia was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph “Tony” Munoz on October 23, 2007. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
