Sa’ousoali’i Poe Siavi’i Jr., 43, passed away January 13, 2022. Junior was born on November, 14, 1978, in American Samoa, and hails from the village of Vaitogi, the son of Sa’ousoali’i Michael Siavi’i Sr and Dottie Tapuai Aga Siavi’i. He graduated from the home of the Warriors Tafuna High School in the class of 1997. Junior played at Dixie State Junior College, and Butte Community College and received All-NorCal Conference honors while earning his degree. Additionally, he was a loud and proud alumnus for the mighty Ducks at the University of Oregon. He married his beautiful wife Danielle Albro Siavi’i on July 4, 2015. Junior was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round - 36th overall pick - of the 2004 NFL Draft as a Defensive Tackle. He played for the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks, and retired after playing for over 5 years in the NFL. Junior was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. He was full of love and life and loved spending time with his family, especially his son Michael. He was a truly humble, selfless, kind and misunderstood gentle soul. He gave the best hugs and always gave the most genuine smile to all that ever met him. Junior was strong, yet tender. He is known for being true to who he was and speaking his mind. He was the overall best example of what true and unconditional love looks and feels like to all of us his family and he will be dearly missed. Junior is survived by his son, Michael Satuala Brandon Siavi’Ii; daughter, Tiana Michalek; wife, Danielle Siavi’i; mother, Dottie Siavi’i; father, Sa’ousoali’i Michael Siavi’i Sr.; brother, Leilua Robert Davey Siavi’i and his wife, Koa Siavi’i; sisters, Fiamaua Siavi’i, Rezetta Kahealani Siavi’i, Amata Puanani Siavi’i and Wendy Lou Taufagalupe Siavi’i; niece, Oriana Levani Siavi’i; nephews, Sa’ousoali’i J. Siavi’i IV, Maddox Launiusaelua Siavi’i-Conn and Zeus Taugaifala Lopaki Siavi’i. He was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen Tiara Amata Siavi’i.
