Sherry Lynn Sibel-Bass (Hilburn)

Sherry Lynn Sibel-Bass, 59 of Buckner, MO passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at her residence. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Buckner 131 S. Hudson St., Buckner, MO 64016 with burial to follow in Buckner Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the church. Sherry was born May 14, 1960 in Butterfield, Mo to Claude and Betty (Boggess) Hilburn. She had worked as a cake decorator for Richards Sunfresh in Independence for several years. She was a very talented woman who enjoyed crafts, gardening, traveling and most of all spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buckner. Survivors include; her husband, Marion Bass of the home; 3 sons, David E. Stringer and wife Kari and Benjamin J. Stringer and fiancée Kaydra all of Buckner and Christopher A.L. Bass and wife JoHannah of Chilhowee, MO; 3 daughters, Pamela Rose Decker and husband Levi of Buckner, MO, Ashley V.M. Waxler and husband Brian of Chicago, IL and Rita A. Stephenson and husband Gerid of Kansas City, KS; her mother, Betty Hilburn of Cassville, MO; 4 sisters, Sandra J. McClung and husband Don of Berryville, AR, Carla Eden of Aurora, MO, Judy Tipton and husband Greg and Joy Phillips all of Cassville, MO; 2 brothers, Marty Hilburn and wife Shellie of Washburn, MO and Robert L. Hilburn and wife Janice of Aurora, MO; a sister-in-law, Wilma Hilburn of Cassville, MO and 19 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Clyde Sibel in 1995, a brother, Wendell Hilburn in 2006 and her father, Claude Hilburn in 2003.
