Carol Sieler

Carol Joyce Sieler, 74, of Independence, MO passed June 28, 2014.
Carol was born in Canton, OK with one older sister Connie, and two Step-brothers- Tom and Bill Jr Price. She blessed our lives for over 74 years. She was a long-time resident of Liberty, MO residing in a nursing home where she had many friends throughout the 16 years she was there. Recently, she moved to Independence, MO and found a special home at The Groves that enriched her life deeply in the short time she was there. Carol graduated from William Chrisman High School in Independence, MO in 1958 and shortly after became the mother of 4 children- Phillip, Jimmy, Susan, and Gary. She is survived by 2 sons- Jimmy and Gary, 4 grandchildren- April, Jeremy, Jason, and Jessica, and an adopted grandson, Jacob. She is preceded in death by her mother- Wanda Price, her father-Frank Gorham, her Step-father- Bill Price, her sister- Connie, her son-Phillip, her daughter-Susan, and her adored Collie-Sheba. She was a true Elvis fan, an animal lover, enjoyed her soap operas and was an avid Bingo player. She was also known for having a passion for the color Hot Pink; From her clothes to her purse and even down to her nails, this woman loved her Pink!
She was a very feisty lady always telling you what she thought and wanted, yet loved her friends and family just a fiercely. She loved anytime spent with them and was wonderful Mother and Grandmother.
She will forever be loved and her absence forever felt. We find comfort in believing that she is now with her family and dear ones that had left before her. A viewing will be held from 6-8pm on Monday 6/30/2014 at Speaks Family Legacy Chapel on 39th St in Independence, MO; and a burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Noland Rd Tuesday 7/1/2014 at 10am.
