James "Jake" M. Sikula

James M. "Jake� Sikula, 75, Independence, Mo. died May 11, 2004. A Celebration of Jake�s life will be held at 7 pm, Thursday, May 20, 2004, at East Independence Congregation Community of Christ Church. Burial took place at Higginsville Missouri Veterans Cemetery. James was born Sept. 20, 1928, in College Point, NY. He worked as a clerk at Totten�s Grocery for nineteen years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sister Rosia Sikula. He is survived by sisters, Marion Cappala and husband, Danny; Ann Conte, and husband, Ed; Elizabeth Grieve and husband, James; Lea Mogavero, and husband, Anthony; Rose Hellenschimdt and husband, Rudy; brothers Adam Sikula, and wife Mary; Joe Sikula, and wife Ann; John Sikula and wife Ginger; Anthony Sikula; fifty-six nieces and nephews and many friends among the residents and staff at The Groves.
