Margaret Elenore Simkiss

Margaret E. Simkiss, 82, Sibley, MO. died July 26, 2005. Services will be 2 pm, Sat., July 30, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Center Place Restoration School, 819 W. Waldo, Independence, MO 64050. Margaret was born of goodly parents June 1, 1923 in Detroit. MI. She was one of nine children. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Atherton Restoration Branch where over the years she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Glaude Simkiss in 1992. She is survived by sons Richard Simkiss wife Linda, Marshfield, MO; Gary Simkiss and wife Diane, Plymouth, MI; daughters Cheryl Anderson and husband Chuck, Brighton, MI; Mary Postlethwait and husband Ray, Sibley, MO; brothers Enos Torsch; Harding Torsch and wife Lillian, all of Lachine, MI; Marvin Torsch and wife Audrey, Alpena, MI; sisters Christinine Howery and husband Don, Penn Valley, CA; Ila Ross and husband Willie, Lachine, MI; Arlene Chase and husband, Ray, Gainesville, VA; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
