Virginia Rose Simonie

February 2, 1918 — October 4, 2006

Virginia W. Simonie, 88, of Independence, MO passed away on October 4, 2006 at the Kansas City Hospice House. A memorial visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Her Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House or St. Jude�s Children�s Hospital. Virginia was born on February 2, 1918 to John and Margaret Witthar. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1936. Virginia went on to serve as a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, Angel Collector�s Club of America, and was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Independence. She was an active person who always showed a genuine interest in everyone she came in contact with. Her beautiful smile will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Adams; and second husband, Anthony Simonie. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Pollet; granddaughter, Gini Allen and husband Eric; grandson, Justin Pollet; great grandson, Hogan Allen; brother, John Witthar; sister, Susan Terry; as well as many other loving family members.
