Mildred (Milly) Edna Simpson, 96, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Monday, January 20, 2014.
Mildred was born July 26, 1917 in Monticello, NY the daughter of William E. and Georgia (Bailey) Schoonmaker. She was a long time resident of Middletown, NY and moved to the Lee’s Summit area in 2002. She was a member of CrossWay Bible Church in Blue Springs, MO. Mildred enjoyed crocheting, reading, and working crossword puzzles and word searches.
Survivors include her son, Harvey Simpson and wife Lorna; daughter, Sandra Jones and husband Peter; grandchildren, Blake Simpson, Brad Simpson, Aaron Simpson, Luke Lacovara, Amanda Calviello, Nichola Mayer, Danielle Gillham; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Arline Schaffer and Helen Sisco; and brother Irving Schoonmaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Simpson; five brothers; and three sisters.
Interment will be at Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, NY. A local memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2013 at CrossWay Bible Church in Blue Springs.
